Altovin International Ltd is pleased to announce the addition of Mark McNeil to its BC sales team. Mark is a Master Sommelier and has passed the WSET Higher Certificate with Distinction. Mark comes to us with over 18 years of experience in the Vancouver Restaurant Industry including: 3 years as Manager and Sommelier at Chambar, one of Vancouver’s busiest restaurant’s; Tramontino Italian Restaurant at the River Rock Casino, where he built a Wine Spectator award winning wine list; 5 years as Manager and Sommelier at Provence Marinaside. Starting Monday April 20th, Hugo will cover the restaurants and SAQ outlets in the regions of Outaouais, Laval, Laurentides, Lanaudière and Montreal North. He has a sommelier diploma from l’École hôtelière de Laval and is as passionate about the restaurant industry as we all are. Hugo has worked in sales for six years and, with much enthusiasm and devotion, he developed the distribution of two Québec domaines: Domaine Pinnacle (Cidrerie) and Domaine de l’Ile ronde. He brings with him excellent customer relations and an obvious passion for the industry. Please join me in welcoming Hugo to our team.

Starting immediately, Simon will be based in Québec City and will also cover the restaurants and SAQ outlets in this jurisdiction. Simon has an Advanced WSET Certificate and has also completed a commercial license in viticulture at Université de Perpignan in Narbonne (France). Before returning to Québec City, Simon worked in the development of resource distribution for the Cave de Tain l’Ermitage. He has been passionately involved in the restaurant industry for over ten years, and has both served and worked as a sommelier at some of Québec’s finest tables.
